The Wales region
Covering the whole of the country, the Wales region works with a wide variety of different customers. Wales is mainly a rural country, so the Welsh economy has always had a strong agricultural sector, because the mountains and mild, wet climate make it ideal for grazing livestock.
In recent years, the country’s dependence on agriculture has fallen, as the majority of the population now lives in the towns and cities of South Wales. This change is reflected in the regional business – in fact, only 34% of our policies are held by farming customers, while 42% are commercial.
