The Role

Customer Service Advisor
Salary up to £25,000 dependant on experience
Location: Preston, office based
Full time, permanent position (Mon- Fri, 9am-5pm)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Advisor within our Preston office. You will play an important role providing great service to our customers by assisting them with quotes, renewals and mid-term adjustments on motor and home insurance products.


At the core of our approach lies the nurturing of strong relationships and a hunger to help meet all our customers’ needs. Therefore, in addition to servicing their existing policies, the role includes seeking additional insurance opportunities and introducing financial services (pension, investments & protection) wherever and whenever a customer need is identified. Customers contact comes via phone, email and walk-ins. The majority is inbound calling but there will be some outbound calling.


You will be part of a team within which collaborative teamwork is essential. Workloads can vary significantly so it is important you are adaptable, flexible and resilient.


About the role
• Handling customer enquiries received via phone, email and in person, including product queries, policy alterations and general administration.
• Providing new quotations and working with the customer to actively close sales.
• Identifying customer needs across our Farm, Commercial and Personal insurance products to ensure we are fully protecting our customers.
• Supporting the Agents with policy administration, processing transactions and management of their renewal book.
• Providing exceptional customer service, consistently demonstrating the expert knowledge and advice we are known for.
• Liaising with underwriters and other key stakeholders regarding customer requirements.
• Building and maintaining long term relationships with our customers and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring all transactions comply with FCA requirements.

• Existing general insurance expertise would be an advantage but not essential

• Have a valid UK driving licence
