An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Ashford, Tenterden and Whitfield Agency.


About the role:


To support the Agency’s business strategy by delivering on small commercial telephone sales targets, maximising sales opportunities from the current pipeline of small commercial prospects, booking appointments for the sales team. The role must ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service and that their insurance provision is appropriate, reflects Agency objectives and compliant.


- Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual products and NFU Mutual product and claims licences as appropriate.


- Deliver small commercial telephone sales targets and support development of our new business pipeline through high quality and targeted customer service. Involving outbound calls to existing and potential clients, obtaining general insurance renewal dates and new quotations to pass to the sales team to quote.


- Positively impact Agency sales through prospecting new clients


- Review areas of success and to develop best working practices across the new business development teams


- Produce up-to-date records for every customer interaction and contact, ensuring all notes are captured clearly, accurately and timely. Including regularly reviewing and updating data records to ensure accuracy.


- Consistently provide excellent levels of customer service in all interactions with potential and existing customers, delivering on promises, meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.


- Support the business development team with campaigns, helping to deliver upon required call volumes and converting leads into opportunities

About you

Essential:


- Proven track record in targeted telesales/ sales role or appointment generator role
- Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office and the ability to effectively use NFU Mutual systems
- Good maths and problem solving skills
- Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure
- Great team working and ability to build effective relationships through positive behaviours, honesty and integrity.
- Own transport & full UK driving licence


Desirable:


- Knowledge of insurance sector
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience in selling or new business development in small commercial sectors such as tradesman, retailers, wholesalers & pubs.
